It seems like everyone has heard of SEO nowadays, and I am no longer explaining what SEO is. That is great news.

However, so many of them want to be convinced that they do not need SEO.

Believe it or not, I tell them it is true. For some businesses, you do not need SEO!

Certain metrics will tell you whether your business would benefit from Search Engine Optimization.

Pay close attention!

I will tell you in plain English whether or not your business will benefit from SEO. You just might find out that you do not need SEO services after all.

You Do not Need SEO If You Already Have All The Sales You Want

Search Engine Optimization is all about two things:

  • Getting exposure for your business in front of people who are looking for exactly what you have to offer, and
  • Converting those same interested people into your paying customers.

If you already have all of the customers or clients that you want, you do not need SEO.

However, if you want more clients that are looking for exactly what you have to offer, SEO is right for you.

You Do not Need SEO If You Are not Worried About Your Competition

If your business stands head and shoulders above your competition, everyone will ultimately end up buying from you, won’t they?

Let them give your competition some of their hard earned money when they are searching for what you have to offer.

They will buy from your competition and end up hating the experience.

Then, one of your customer evangelists will tell them about your company and the great service you provide.

You do not need SEO in this case as well.

But, do not be surprised if a bunch of those people come and ask you why they could not find you when they first searched for your services.

You Do not Need SEO If You Are not Worried About Your Competition

You Do not Need SEO If Your Target Market Does not Use Search Engines

Some age brackets just do not use search engines to find products or services.

People in some smaller towns have no need to look for things in their local area on search engines because the town is small enough that they always know what is going on and what is being offered.

Through keyword testing, it is a simple task to see whether or not people are searching for your type of business. These results will tell you if you do not need SEO.

You Do not Need SEO If Your Target Market Does not Use Search Engines

Maybe You Do, Maybe You Don’t

So, you might need SEO to market your services. But maybe you do not need SEO.

Search Engine Optimization is one of the best ways to get yourself in front of your prospects who are looking for exactly what you have to offer.

However:

  • If you have all of the business that you want,
  • If you are not concerned about your competitors showing up in the search engines where you do not, and
  • If your target market does not use search engines to find what you are offering.

Then you do not need SEO services to promote your business.
