A model trained on that learns your noise. Then it repeats the noise back to you as a rule. Statisticians already have a word for it. Overfitting.

No clever code fixes a thin sample. The model memorizes the accidents in your data. So it predicts your past beautifully and your future not at all.

SQL, which surprises people. Most SEO work is joining one export to another. SQL does exactly that. Python matters later, once you need an API or a chart. Neither turns a small site into a machine learning project.

Google has said so publicly. It has named several such systems over the years. That changes very little about your job though. You cannot inspect the model. Tuning it is not on offer either. So you still write for the person searching.

Is statistics more useful than coding for SEO?

For most people, yes. Knowing when a sample is too small will save more money than any script. Sample size and confidence. The gap between noise and real movement. That is the daily work. Code just makes you wrong faster.
