What Is Keyword Strategy and How It Differs From Keyword Research

Keyword research finds the terms. What to do with those terms, that’s what keyword strategy decides. Which cluster gets built first. Ownership of each specific term, page by page. How everything ties back to actual business goals.

Without a real strategy behind it, keyword research just produces a long list going nowhere useful.

Is Optimizing Content for AI Search Different From SEO?

Mostly no. That’s the short version. AI search and traditional SEO pull from the same foundation. Clear structure. Real answers. Pages that actually cover a topic instead of circling it.

Edges differ. Core doesn’t. A page built for Google’s organic results still has a decent shot at getting cited by an AI answer engine. Ranking for one rarely hurts the other.

What Is Keyword Clustering in SEO?

A roofing contractor came to us in 2009 with a spreadsheet of 60 search terms. Goal, as he explained it: rank for all of them with a single page. He had been at this for two years. No movement.

The problem was not the terms. Sixty different queries, informational, transactional, local, each wanting something different, were being pointed at one page that could not satisfy any of them well. Search engines do not reward that. Searchers do not either.

How to Be Successful with Google Ads

We have handled Google Ads PPC management for Calgary businesses since 2007. The pattern that shows up most is not a technical failure. It is a setup failure.

Someone builds a campaign without a clear goal. Your ads go live. Clicks come in. The calls do not. Two months later the budget is empty and the business owner concludes Google Ads does not work. The platform is fine. Setup, however, was not. The good news is that the most common failures are fixable.

What Are the Different Types of Google Ads Campaigns?

The question comes up almost every initial call. A business owner decides to try Google Ads. Does some research. Comes back more confused than before. The options have multiplied. Each campaign type works differently and serves a different marketing goal. To-The-TOP! has handled Calgary Google Ads management for local businesses since 2007. The number of campaign types has grown considerably over that time. Here is a plain-language breakdown. What each one does. When it makes sense to use it.

How to Use Google Search Console to Improve SEO

Free, and a straight line into how Google actually reads your site. That is what Google Search Console gives you. I have handled our Calgary SEO work since 2007, and GSC is still the first tool I open on any new account. Not the paid third-party suites. This one, every time.

Most people install it, glance at the traffic graph once, and never come back. That is the mistake. The numbers sitting in there point straight at the URLs worth fixing and the keywords worth chasing. This guide walks through how to use Google Search Console to improve SEO the way we actually work it for clients at SEO Company To-The-TOP!, not the feature tour you find everywhere else.

Are Facebook Ads Cheaper Than Google Ads?

We hear this question from business owners every few weeks. Someone logs into Google Ads, watches a $4 CPC on a competitive keyword, then asks if Facebook would cost half as much. Sometimes it does. Other times the cheaper click costs more in the end.

Cost-per-click is one number. Cost-per-conversion is the number that pays the bills. Both metrics matter. They also often tell very different stories on each platform.

How to Optimize an Ecommerce Product Page for SEO

One product page. One clear search intent to satisfy completely, from start to finish. Every single element on that page either helps Google understand and rank it properly, or gets in the way of that goal.

Product page SEO differs meaningfully from blog SEO in one key way. Commercial intent, not informational curiosity, drives the whole approach.

How to Improve Your Relationship With Your SEO Consultant

Most SEO problems aren’t technical. They’re relational. A consultant working from incomplete information delivers weaker work than one who understands the business behind the site. The fix rarely involves a new tool. It usually just means changing how the client and consultant talk to each other.

This matters more with a solo consultant than a large agency. One person carries the entire account. Small breakdowns in communication compound fast when there’s no account manager smoothing things over on the other end.
